Kayak at Your Own Pace Around the Stunning Moke Lake

Discover the beauty of Queenstown’s backcountry with our unforgettable kayak experience at Moke Lake. Located just 20 minutes from Queenstown this quiet and peaceful setting allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of town and immerse yourself in a beautiful rural New Zealand environment surrounded by mountains.

If you require transport, our friendly staff will pick you up from Queenstown and drive you in comfort to Moke Lake. During the scenic journey, we’ll share local insights (and maybe even a few laughs), so feel free to ask questions along the way.

Once at Moke Lake, we’ll give you a quick safety briefing before you set off to explore at your own pace. Take your time to soak in the surroundings, then return to enjoy a selection of tasty kiwi refreshments.

Inclusions:

• Kayaks or SUPs, Paddles, and Pumps
• Life jackets (Personal Flotation Device – must be worn at all times)
• Waterproof splash tops/jackets
• Safety briefing & map
• A selection of delicious refreshments and morning tea

What to Bring:

• Camera
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
• Towel and swimwear
• Full drink bottle
• Suitable footwear (sandals, jandals, thongs, flipflops, or anything similar)
• Extra warm clothing/change of clothes (preferably not jeans)

Please Note:

• This trip is suitable for first-time kayakers, but you must know how to swim.
• If English is not your first language, no problem, however, you MUST be able to understand our safety briefing.

Important Info for Self-Drive Option:

• The drive to Moke Lake is along a gravel road, approximately 30 minutes from Queenstown, with no cell phone signal along the way.
• Please ensure you arrive at Moke Lake Campground by 9:20 am.
