GENERAL FAQ’S
-
We have a large variety of lifejackets down on the beach with the smallest being able to fit babies as young as 12months! We recommend only taking children out on the equipment if you are confident, they won’t wriggle around and will stay seated throughout the duration of your rental. Most children over the age of 10 can ride an aqua bike without an adult, as long as their legs can reach the pedals. These age restrictions are also subject to calm weather conditions. To go on our Moke Lake Experience children must be 8+.
-
Down on the beach there are often free spots we can fit you in, however closer to Christmas/New Years is when they start to fill up! Our advice would be to make your booking here, the day before. To be able to go on our Moke Lake Experience, you should book as early as possible to secure spots.
-
We have an area for you to store your belongings you don’t want to take onto the water. Camera and phones can be taken out at your own risk. We also have dry bags available to be extra careful when you do want to get that insta worthy snap!
-
If it is unsafe to operate, we will close and be in contact to reschedule if you had a booking. Heavy rain and strong winds are no fun for anyone, so we are a weather dependant activity. Also, if the weather is meant to change during the day, we will do our very best to give you a heads up! If you’re unsure give us a call before you head down, and we can let you know.
For our full terms and conditions see here, but in short if the weather is unsafe you’ll be entitled to a full refund, however if your late or forget that’s on you we’re afraid. It’s often very busy in summer.
-
Aqua bikes can only carry 200kg however, there is the option of taking one out by yourself.
-
Absolutely – just make sure you have whatever you need on you, and make sure our staff are aware before you head off.
BEACH RENTALS
-
We recommend taking your shoes and socks off, so you have dry ones to come back to. You can use our equipment in any outfit of your choice, but active wear would be our advice! Our equipment is regularly checked, and we operate only when it is safe to do so however, there is a possibility of falling in, but that’s all dependent on your skills!
-
Beach rentals can take 30min to an hour!
-
Not at all! Our rental staff on the beach will give you a demonstration and instructions on how to use our equipment, they will be constantly monitoring you out on the water and are there to help you out.
-
Of course! They are set up so both sets of pedals work together. Don’t worry, you won’t be going round in circles
-
Unfortunately, we don’t offer multi day rentals.
MOKE LAKE EXPERIENCE
-
During the Moke Lake Experience you will be paddling on your own (or in a double kayak), so you do need to know how to swim. However, you do not need heaps of kayaking or paddling experience, there will be plenty of help on offer from our team! This is an awesome experience for families and groups that are after a little more freedom than the beach rentals.
-
The Moke Lake experience will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. If you require transport pick-up will be at 9am from One Mile Creek car park.
